Overview

Once an organisation has been created within the SQUIZZ.com platform it have a number of feeds created for it. Each feed supports people posting messages within the feed, as well as having people post comments against another person's message. People can additionally Like, Acknowledge, Dislike, or Report messages and comments posted within a feed. This allows for people to listen, talk, or engage in discussion around an organisation. Organisations can create multiple feeds allowing to contextualise the messages and communication. For example an organisation could create a feed called "Sales and Deals" that could contain announcements of new sales and product deals that the organisation is having. People listening to this feed then could take advantage of the deals, enticing them to buy products that the organisation is selling for cheaper.

Organisations can control if people are allowed to post messages and comments within a feed. By doing this organisations can set up feeds that are solely used for announcements, where as other feeds can be used by the organisation to foster discussion between a community of people.

Feed Notifications

Once people are following a feed, administrators and marketing staff of an organisation can choose to send a notification to all the followers of a feed about a message that has been posted in a feed. This allows the staff to pro-actively send out announcements to an audience of followers, allowing the people following a feed to be aware of relevant news or information by seeing a new notification under the feeds category. Organisations can send notifications to a small fixed number people following a feed for free. If more people are following a feed then it will cost the organisation a trading token to send out a notification out to each person. These notifications can be a good investment for an organisation since it is cheaper and more effective than sending large numbers of Email to an audience who does not want to receive junk emails.

Public Feeds

Organisations can create public feeds, where the messages and comments made within the feeds can be seen by the general public, whether people are signed up or logged into the platform or not. Public feeds allow the general public to listen or engage in public communication, which could be used by an organisation for marketing purposes, information purposes, or capturing the general public's attention. People can find an organisation's public feeds via viewing the organisation's profile or from within the Feeds menu. People can choose to follow any of the organisation's public feeds. Once a person is following a public feed, then an administrator person of the feed can then choose to notify all the people following feed of a new message that has been posted. This can allow many numbers of people to receive notifications of content that the organisation wants them to hear. Organisations cannot add people to follow a feed, since this would constitute "spamming" and people receiving unwanted notifications. Instead people must find and opt-in to follow an organisation's feeds. This helps an organisation people within it they know they can send notifications to an audience of people that are willing to listen.

Exclusive Feeds

Organisations can create exclusive feeds, where the messages and comments made within the feeds can only be seen by people invited to follow the feed. Exclusive feeds allow a target number of people connected to the organisation to listen or engage in more intimate communication with the organisation. Exclusive feeds could be used by an organisation for marketing purposes, information purposes, secretive purposes, or capturing the attention of specific types of people. Exclusive feeds can be used to invite selected people into feed. Before a person can be invited into an exclusive feed they must first be connected to the organisation. Once they are connected then administrator staff of the organisation can select the people to invite to the feed. These invited people will receive a request to follow the exclusive feed, and if they accept the invite will then be following the feed and be able to see the messages and comments posted within the feed. Once a person is following an exclusive feed, then an administrator person of the feed can then choose to notify all the people following the feed of any new messages posted.

Exclusive feeds could be set up for internal announcements for all employees within an organisation, they could also be used for telling VIP customers of special product deals that the majority of the organisation's customer base should not be aware. Exclusive feeds could be used for dedicated teams or departments within an organisation, they could also be used to manage and communicate with suppliers, or other groups of people relevant to an aspect of an organisation, such as shareholders.
