Overview of Data Connectivity
The adaptor reads and exports Business One's data directly from a Microsoft SQL Server database, which is the location where Business One stores its data. It obtains this data using the inbuilt ADO.Net libraries that is built into the Dot.NET software that the Connector runs on within Windows.
The adaptor writes data back into Business One's database using Business One's software libraries called DI API. This API software is a Comm object written by SAP that provides the adaptor a way to push through sales orders without having to write all the data in the underlying database.
Note: This adaptor supports writing data into the Business One databases: MS SQL Server 2005, MS SQL Server 2008, and MS SQL Server 2012. For MS SQL Server 2012 ensure that your Business One version is 8.8.2 or higher. The adaptor supports reading data from the databases: MS SQL Server 2005, MS SQL Server 2008, and MS SQL Server 2012.
Note: The adaptor only supports writing data into SAP Business One for versions 9.1 and higher.
